Purpose
The Polk County Builders Association Political Advocacy Committee (PAC) supports the building industry through political engagement and advocacy. The committee evaluates candidates for local and state office who demonstrate an understanding of the issues affecting housing, economic development, workforce, and responsible growth.
Through committee review and voting, the PAC may issue endorsements, letters of support, and political contributions to candidates seeking public office.
Our Goal
The PCBA Political Advocacy Committee works to advance policies that support a strong construction industry and thriving communities. By engaging with elected officials, local governments, school board members, and community leaders, the committee advocates for responsible growth, attainable housing, and a healthy business environment throughout Polk County.
About the PCBA PAC
The Political Advocacy Committee (PAC) is a committee of the Polk County Builders Association. Endorsements, letters of support, and political contributions reflect the actions of the PAC following its candidate review process. Regardless of endorsement decisions, the Polk County Builders Association remains committed to working collaboratively with all elected officials to advocate for the interests of its members and the communities they serve.
Political Advocacy Committee (PAC) Endorsements
The Polk County Builders Association Political Advocacy Committee (PAC) is committed to supporting candidates who understand the importance of housing, economic growth, responsible development, and policies that strengthen the building industry throughout Polk County.
The PAC carefully reviews candidates through questionnaires, interviews, and discussions to evaluate their positions on issues that impact our members, businesses, and community. Following this review process, the committee may vote to provide financial contributions and/or letters of support to candidates who demonstrate a commitment to advancing policies that promote a strong construction industry and a healthy local economy.
The endorsements and letters of support listed below reflect the recommendations and votes of the PCBA Political Advocacy Committee. They are intended to inform our members of the committee’s decisions and advocacy efforts on behalf of the association.
