Established in 1995 to give back to the community.
The Polk County Builders Association Foundation began as a committee in 1995 giving back to the Polk County community through school partnerships and community outreach projects. In 2004 the board of directors led by then President Brian Waller formed the not for profit Polk County Builders Association Foundation.
The Foundation supported many activities including school field trips, mentorships, classroom speakers and the Future Builders of America Clubs in the high schools. The Future Builders of America Clubs partnered with Noah’s Ark in 2007 to build a home for handicapped adults, an entire home bottom to top. The Foundation also has supported the Blueprint and Model Competition, now in its 22nd year, and student scholarships awarding more than $185,000.00 over the years in prizes, grants and scholarships. You may not know this but the PCBA Foundation created the very FIRST partnership with the Polk County School Board that has since been followed by over 1,000 business including Publix, Watson Clinic, Lakeland Electric….and more during this time.
In 2024 we donated $12,500 to the Lakeland Police Department’s Police Athletic League Summer Trades Program, which provided valuable trade skills training to local youth. Additionally, we awarded four $1,500 scholarships to students from Bartow and Haines City High Schools.
